The 45th Limerick Ahane Scout Group is one of the 22 Scout Groups in Limerick Scout County and one of the 300 Scout Groups in Scouting Ireland. We are governed by the Rules and Constitution of Scouting Ireland.

Our Beaver Scout Section caters for children aged 6, 7 and 8. Our Cub Scout Section caters for children aged 9,10 and 11. Our Scout Section caters for children aged 12, 13, 14 and 15. During the past Scouting Year all 3 sections have been very active and have provided an action packed programme for our 60 Youth Members.

Our youth members enjoy both indoor & outdoor activities ranging from camping, backwoods cooking, pioneering, arts & crafts, a trip to Dublin Zoo, orienteering, bingo, cinema night, Chritmas fair, pet night, puzzles, patrol challenges, hiking and plenty more.

Our Beaver Scout section meets in Ahane National School on Tuesday nights from 7.00 – 8.000p.m.

Our Cub Scout section meets in ahane GAA club on Wednesday nights from 7.00 – 8.00p.m.

Our Scout section meets in ahane GAA club on Thursday nights from 7.30-9.00p.m.

Where to for the next 12 months?

We need parent support. Can you help out? Do you have a skill or talent that you could teach our youth members over 1 or 2 evenings during the Year? Have you an interest in outdoor activities and are willing to give a hand with the running of one of our sections? Have you some time on your hands and willing to volunteer?

Our aim for the next 12 months is to get more active, more involved in the local community and to continue to strive to present an action packed programme to our Youth members.
